What is Moung?

Moung is a free web app that makes timetables for schools and universities in Cambodia. Each teacher ticks the hours they are free on their phone, using a personal link with no account. Moung then places every class's sessions inside those hours, with no teacher, class or room booked twice, and the head of faculty checks and confirms. It works in Khmer and English, reads the Excel files a school already keeps, and is free for schools with up to 30 teachers.

Questions schools ask

Who is Moung for?

For the person who builds a school's timetable: a head of faculty, a deputy principal or an academic office. High schools with one-hour lessons and universities with 90-minute sessions, shifts and sub-groups both fit. Teachers only ever use their personal link.

How much does Moung cost?

Moung is free for schools with up to 30 teachers, with every feature. Schools with more teachers can contact us.

Can I use the Excel file I already have?

Yes. Upload the teacher list or timetable you already keep in Excel, with Khmer or English headings and the columns in any order. Moung shows what it found before anything is saved. You can also fill in Moung's template, or type everything in.

Do teachers need an account?

No. Each teacher gets a personal link by Telegram, Messenger or text message and ticks their free hours on their phone in about a minute. Once the timetable is confirmed, the same link shows their own week.

How long does it take to make a timetable?

Making the draft is one press. Most of the time goes into collecting teachers' free hours, so Moung shows who has not answered and gives you a ready message for each of them. You then look only at what could not be placed, and confirm.

Does Moung work in Khmer?

Yes. Every screen, message and printout is in Khmer and English, and each person picks their language. Class sheets can be printed in a university's own Khmer layout, ready to sign.

Can I print or export the timetable?

Yes. Print or download the timetable by class, by teacher or by room, as Excel or as PDF. Each teacher can also open their own week on their phone.

Who can see our school's data?

Only the people you add to your school. Each school sees only its own teachers, classes and timetable, and each teacher sees only their own page.
